Invasive Impacts: Boom Lake and the Rhinelander Flowage
Boom Lake and the Rhinelander Flowage are some of the most-used waters in the Rhinelander area. Anglers, boaters and other watercraft users flock to the 1,372-acre lake in the summertime and many people enjoy watching the Fourth of July fireworks from the lake as well. To say the lake is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike would be an understatement. There are multiple boat landings by which to reach the Rhinelander Flowage and Boom Lake, with the largest and most popular being the Hodag Park Boat Ramp in Rhinelander. (subscriber access)
