Local family raises awareness for epilepsy, Purple Day
After witnessing their son have seizures for nearly two decades, a local family is sharing their story to raise awareness for epilepsy and Purple Day, which is March 26.Lynne Wakely's son, Eli, is 20 years old and has been dealing with five types of seizures, drop seizures, absence (staring), tonic (stiffening of arms and legs), myoclonic (sudden head jolts), and tonic-clonic (whole body jolting, used to be called grand mal).
