Middle school students shoot hoops to help save lives
On Feb. 25 and 26 James Williams Middle schoolhosted a Hoops For Heart event to raise money for the American Heart Association, which funds research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke.JWMS students raised over $950 for the American Heart Association, the School District of Rhinelander announed. Eighth grader Emily Malone was the top fundraiser in the school raising an incredible $570 for the cause. Staff members volunteered their time and joined classes to challenge students to $1 mini-games which raised $50 during the two day event.
