Campers cheer counselors to victory in Y cardboard boat race
A wide variety of boats can be seen navigating Northwoods lakes. There are kayaks, canoes, rowboats, pontoons, fishing boats and ski boats galore. Only once a year, however, do you find cardboard boats. Cheered on by their young charges, YMCA of the Northwoods camp counselors leaped into Boom Lake Wednesday for the third annual YMCA Summer Camp Cardboard Boat Race. (subscriber access)
