The Rhinelander High School boys’ tennis team has had plenty of success in coach Matt Nichols’ first three seasons at the helm. Last year the Hodags captured their ninth straight conference title, went 17-6 overall in dual meets and finished third at WIAA sectionals.

Kurtz, Swanson voted Hodags’ most valuable wrestlers
Senior Owen Kurtz and sophomore Mya Swanson took home top honors for the Rhinelander High School wrestling team this year, having been voted the team’s most valuable male and female wrestlers. Team review: RHS boys’ hockey
The Hodags won three of their final four games to close out the regular season. Entering the playoffs as a No. 8 seed, Rhinelander gave eventual state qualifier Tomahawk a scare before falling 5-3.
RSC swimmers compete at state championship meets
Fifteen swimmers from Rhinelander Swim Club qualified to compete at state championships. The swimmers range in age from 6 to 17 and, depending on their age group, traveled to one of three championship meets held in Ashwaubenon, Brown Deer or Pleasant Prairie.
