Hodag Hoops Camp sees record turnout
Bolstered by a strong local turnout, the annual camp posted record numbers this week. Rhinelander High School boys’ basketball coach Derek Lemmens estimated roughly 150 players turned out for the four-day event, which was split into sections for players in grades 7-9, grades 4-6 and grades 1-3.

Josh Randolph became the Monsters’ eighth different starting pitcher in 13 games Sunday, and he turned in a gem. Randolph went the distance and struck out eight batters as the Monsters fended off the Minocqua Wood Ducks 4-3 in the regular season finale in Minocqua.

The Rhinelander Athletic Booster Club recently thanked title sponsors Rhinelander GM Auto Center/Wisconsin Chevy Dealers and Boyd Financial Services for the title sponsorship of the 43rd annual ABC golf scramble, which will be held Friday, Aug. 2 at Pinewood Country Club in Harshaw.
