Miracle over Mosinee
John Turek and Jackson Waydick scored following a two-out error in the bottom of the seventh and the Hodags scored a dramatic 4-3 walkoff victory over Great Northern Conference-leading Mosinee Friday at Stafford Field.

Weather halts Hodags in home invite
Rhinelander was leading the standings in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions of the Hodag Invitational at Mike Webster Stadium Thursday when the meet was suspended, and eventually called, due to thunderstorms.
Johnson enshrined in Hodag Hall
Tyler Johnson, a Class of 2005 Rhinelander grad, was this year’s only inductee into the Rhinelander Athletic Booster Club’s Hodag Hall of Fame. He was enshrined during the clubs 43rd annual awards banquet this past Wednesday at the Pines Event Center.
Hodag golfers battle breeze, take third at Pines
The Rhinelander High School golf team not only had to battle the rest of the Great Northern Conference, it had to battle Mother Nature as well Friday during the penultimate leg of the GNC tournament at Eagle River Golf Course.
Rhinelander Special Olympians compete in track regionals
Rhinelander Special Olympics 2-05 competed at the Wisconsin Special Olympics regional track and field meet in Colby Saturday, May 10. The competition, featuring Region 2 and 3, hosted 278 athletes.

Hodag baseball rallies late to beat Antigo 11-8
Rhinelander’s bats came alive in the sixth and seventh innings, scoring four times in each frame, as the Hodags rallied from behind to defeat the Antigo Red Robins 11-8 at Kretz Bros. Park.

Hodag golfers fade in back-to-back conference matches
Rhinelander took fourth Monday at home at Rhinelander Country Club and then followed that up with a sixth-place finish Tuesday at Minocqua Country Club as the GNC staged the fourth and fifth legs of the conference tournament.
