The James Beck Cancer Center at Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Ascension, will host its 10th Annual Celebration of Life - "Capturing Moments" on Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Rhinelander Fire Department presents big check to MDA

The 2017 Oneida County Fair opened Thursday evening but persistent rain showers prompted officials to cancel the festivities a short time after the opening ceremony. Organizers are hoping for better weather over the weekend. Native American dancers performed as part of the opening ceremony.

Popular a cappella group Tonic Sol-fa to perform at Nicolet
The Emmy Award-winning a cappella group Tonic Sol-fa returns to Nicolet College on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m. The group showcased its exquisite harmonies and original arrangements in a Nicolet Live! performance last October.
It's fair time in Oneida County

Senior volunteers treated to Wisconsin River cruise
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Oneida County Department on Aging held their annual recognition event last month. Volunteers were treated to a cruise down the Wisconsin River to Hat Rapids aboard the Wisconsin River Cruise Line.
