Hodag soccer beats Pines in regular season finale

The Rhinelander High School boys’ soccer team closed out the regular season on a high note Thursday. The Hodags hope to be able to use that momentum to conjure up another Cinderella run in the WIAA tournament.

Riopel falls in first round of state tennis tournament

Swim meet moved to Monday due to ‘emergency maintenance issue’

The Rhinelander High School girls’ swim team’s final dual meet of the 2023 season was postponed by four days due to what was described as a temporary “emergency maintenance issue” that arose last Wednesday at the Heck Family Community Pool.

The Rhinelander High School football team lost to Lakeland 32-6 Friday on homecoming night in the Northwoods Axe Game at Mike Webster Stadium, but found out Saturday morning that they were one of the final 40 teams to make the field of 224 for the WIAA playoffs.

Hodag harriers strive for top half finish at GNC meet

While Lakeland and Medford have established themselves as the clear-cut favorites on the boys’ and girls’ sides, respectively, there figures to be plenty of competition behind them when the GNC schools converge on Nine Mile Forest in Wausau tomorrow for the conference meet, hosted by Mosinee.
