Power brigade: Hodag softball bashes Lakeland 12-1
The Hodags had 11 hits on Thursday, and plated nine runs in the first inning, as they defeated Lakeland 12-1 in five innings in a non-conference game at Pioneer Park.
Hodag boys 4th, girls 6th at Pines Invite
Peyton Erikson won the triple jump as the Hodag boys placed fourth in an 11-team invite at Northland Pines High School. The Hodag girls recorded seven top-five finishes as they placed sixth out of 11 teams.

The Rhinelander High School junior varsity girls' soccer team played its first game of the season Tuesday, April 24, as it faced Lakeland at the RHS soccer fields. The Hodags lost 1-0 on a last-minute goal by the T-Birds.

Hodag netters down Lakeland in opener
It started a little later than the Rhinelander High School boys' tennis team would have hoped, but the netters have finally begun their Great Northern Conference title defense. The Hodags swept singles play Tuesday and defeated Lakeland 6-1 in Rhinelander.

Rhinelander claimed a couple of team events on the boys' side, had several top two finishes on the girls' side and placed fifth overall in both the boys' and girls' divisions Tuesday in the Lakeland Relays at the LUHS Fieldhouse in Minocqua.

RHS Nordic coach Reis gains experience through NENSA trip
Last month, Rhinelander High School Nordic Ski coach Charil Reis was part of a contingent of eight skiers and four coaches from the Midwest who were invited to take part in the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) U16 championships held at Gore Mountain in North Creek, N.Y.
