Hodag netters down Lakeland in opener
It started a little later than the Rhinelander High School boys' tennis team would have hoped, but the netters have finally begun their Great Northern Conference title defense. The Hodags swept singles play Tuesday and defeated Lakeland 6-1 in Rhinelander.
Hodags score several top-two finishes at Lakeland Relays
Rhinelander claimed a couple of team events on the boys' side, had several top two finishes on the girls' side and placed fifth overall in both the boys' and girls' divisions Tuesday in the Lakeland Relays at the LUHS Fieldhouse in Minocqua.

RHS Nordic coach Reis gains experience through NENSA trip

District committee hears update on possible softball fields
The School District of Rhinelander's Capital Projects ad hoc committee listened to a status update on a plan to potentially locate two new fields on district property, before tabling the matter until the cost of a feasibility study on the proposal can be determined. (subscriber access)

Francisco fast in 55 at Pines Indoor
Josh Francisco won the 55-meter dash as the Hodag boys took fifth in the eight-team Northland Pines Indoor. The Hodag girls finished seventh out of eight teams in what was originally scheduled to be the GNC's indoor invite.
