Hodag soccer splits games at home invite
Rhinelander squandered a second-half lead as it fell to Iron Mountain, Mich. 2-1 in the first game of the day, but responded with a second-half barrage to defeat Ironwood, Mich. 9-0 in the nightcap at the Hanson Lake Soccer Complex.
Flory, freshmen lead the way in Hodag Invite
Bridger Flory is back and at 100 percent for the Rhinelander High School cross country team. He showed as much Thursday in the season opening Hodag Invitational.
Hodag tennis blanks Phillips to improve to 13-0
The Hodags swept Phillips 7-0 in a Great Northern Conference dual at RHS tennis courts and were nearly perfect in the match. Rhinelander dropped only two games in total in a dual meet that took just more than an hour to complete.

Hodag spikers go 1-2 in home invite
The Hodags went 1-2 on the day, picking up a close three-set win over Chequamegon, as they took third place in their home four-team invite at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
RHS tennis still undefeated
The Hodags dropped only two individual matches Monday and Tuesday as they added four more dual meet wins to their ledger, running their record to 12-0 on the season.

The Hodags converted three fourth downs - part of a clock-grinding 16-play, 75-yard scoring drive in which Rhinelander exerted its will - as it defeated Prescott 28-6 in the 2018 season opener at Mike Webster Stadium.

Rhinelander won nearly every match as it took first place in its home quadrangular meet. The Hodags started with a 7-0 win over Merrill, followed by a 6-1 win over Ashland and closed with another 7-0 whitewashing of Ironwood, Mich.
