Historically, th Rhinelander High School golf team has had its share of ups and downs when it hosts home Great Northern Conference meets. On Friday, however, it was mostly up for the Hodags.

Mosinee scored four unanswered runs to defeat the Hodags 4-2 in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday at Stafford Field. It came on the heels of a 6-3 win for the Hodags in the opening game.
Hodag tennis knocks off Lakeland, Antigo to open 14-point GNC lead
The Rhinelander High School boys' tennis team appears to be on its way to another Great Northern Conference title. The Hodags locked up first place in the conference heading into Saturday's tournament with a 5-2 win at Antigo Monday, followed by a 7-0 home victory Tuesday against Lakeland.
Hodag golfers tie for fourth at Lakeland
The Hodags shot 377 and tied for fourth place in the fourth leg of the GNC tournament, hosted by Lakeland Tuesday at Timber Ridge Golf Club in Minocqua.
Medford takes home-and-home series from Hodag softball
The Hodags kept Medford in touch most of the way Monday before losing to the Raiders 6-1 in Medford. Tuesday's rematch was much different as the Raiders got a perfect game from pitcher Rachel Mudgett in a 13-0 shutout.

Rhinelander put the rest of the GNC on notice Friday night winning five events and setting two school records en route to the title at the Otto Bacher Invitational in Merrill.

Hodag soccer downs Marshfield 2-0
Izzy Haverkampf scored on a penalty kick and Gwyneth Lowry tacked on an insurance goal in the second half as the Hodags defeated Marshfield 2-0 in a non-conference test at Mike Webster Stadium.

Antigo downs Rhinelander in softball 16-0
The Rhinelander High School softball team could not keep up with Antigo Friday. The Robins collected 14 hits and broke the game open with an eight-run fifth to defeat the Hodags 16-0 at Pioneer Park.
Big innings, big wins
The Hodags used big innings in both contests to sweep a doubleheader from the Lakeland Thunderbirds 12-8 and 8-0 at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua.
