The Rhinelander High School girls' swim team appears to be in a good place as it prepares to start the Great Northern Conference season. The Hodags won 10 of the 11 events Tuesday and won a three-team triangular meet at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua.

The Hodags swept singles and then waited out a weather delay to finish off a 7-0 victory over the Medford at the RHS tennis courts. The win moved Rhinelander to 2-0 in Great Northern Conference play, 8-1 overall.
Hodag soccer falls 1-0 in opener
A young Rhinelander High School boys' soccer team struggled to find its footing Tuesday in its season opener. Hayward's Elijah Heyworth scored in the 20th minute, which proved to be the only goal in a 1-0 result for the Hurricanes.
