The YMCA of the Northwoods and the Rhinelander High School football team two working together to expand the YMCA of the Northwoods' flag football program, which will begin Aug. 10 and run through Sept. 28 for boys and girls in grades 1-6.

Riding out the storm
Rhinelander found itself 1-1 following Sunday's play in a weather-plagued Wisconsin American Legion Class AA Region 2 tournament. The Rebels lost 9-6 to Pulaski Sunday before rebounding to beat Shawano 14-2 in an elimination game.
Gymnasts get three-week summer refresher
The middle of July is about as far away from the end of one gymnastics season, and the start of another, as possible. Yet, for the RHS gymnastics team, it's the right time to get a bit of a refresher ahead of the upcoming season.

RHS football team wraps up 7-on-7
The Rhinelander High School football team wrapped up the 7-on-7 portion of its offseason schedule Thursday night, and is now in the midst of its final organized team activities prior to the start of the 2019 season.
Paulson: Mike Webster turf project on schedule
Rhinelander High School activities director Brian Paulson says the conversion of Mike Webster Stadium from natural grass to artificial turf is going well and the field is on track to be ready for the RHS football team's home opener - and maybe sooner than that.
