Northland Pines' potent scoring duo of Lochlan Siegmeier and Liam Oas connected on all three goals as the Eagles defeated the Hodags 3-1 in a battle of Great Northern Conference unbeatens at Sam Larson Field in Eagle River.
Hodag netters reach milestone in win over Pacelli
The Hodags swept singles on Tuesday and defeated Pacelli 6-1 in a Great Northern Conference dual at the RHS tennis courts. The win moved Rhinelander to 20-4 overall on the season - the first 20-win season in program history, according to coach Bob Heideman.
Hodag volleyball swept by Antigo
The Rhinelander High School volleyball team got incrementally better in each set Tuesday night, but did not have enough to get by Antigo in a three-game sweep.
Runaway Raiders
The Rhinelander High School football team hung with Medford for the better part of three quarters Friday night, but Medford's grinding ground game and a lack of any consistency on offense eventually caught up with the Hodags in a 36-7 loss to the Raiders at Mike Webster Stadium.

Relay masters: Hodag swimmers dominate home relay meet
The Rhinelander High School girls' swim team was nearly flawless Saturday in its home relay meet. The Hodags won eight events, finished second in the other two and dominated on their way to winning the Hodag Relays at the Heck Family Community Pool.

A day after dropping a 4-3 decision at Antigo, the Hodags responded in a resounding manner, dropping only three games in a 7-0 sweep of Marshfield Columbus at the RHS tennis courts.

Hodag swimmers use close finishes to nip Lakeland 91-78
The Hodags have been without their pool since last Wednesday, due to a pump malfunction, but that didn't seem to slow the team down much on Tuesday as it won seven events and took a dual meet over Lakeland 91-78 at Lakeland Union High School.
Hodag girls 5th, boys 6th at Charger Invite
After waiting out a nearby thunderstorm, the teams finally got on the course and the Rhinelander High School cross country team earned a fifth-place finish in the girls' division and a sixth-place finish in the boys' division of a 12-school race Tuesday afternoon in Wittenberg.

RNC mountain bike team bigger than ever
At the end of last season, coach Joel Flory said the Rhinelander-Northwoods Composite mountain bike team was "ready to take on a few more kids" for its third year of existence. As it turns out, a few more, meant more than a 100-percent increase.
