Rhinelander put itself in command of the Great Northern Conference girls' tennis race Friday afternoon, sweeping doubles and taking a 5-2 win over archrival Antigo at the RHS tennis courts.

The Rhinelander High School girls' swim team appears to be in a good place as it prepares to start the Great Northern Conference season. The Hodags won 10 of the 11 events Tuesday and won a three-team triangular meet at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua.
Rhinelander falls to Northland Pines in conference boys' soccer opener
The Hodags were outplayed again by defending GNC champion Northland Pines Tuesday, which scored once in each half to defeat Rhinelander 2-0 in Eagle River.
