RHS football team wraps up 7-on-7
The Rhinelander High School football team wrapped up the 7-on-7 portion of its offseason schedule Thursday night, and is now in the midst of its final organized team activities prior to the start of the 2019 season.

Rebels split games at Merrill Invite
Rhinelander lost a chance to clinch the Great Northern Legion Conference outright, getting no-hit by Medford's John McMurry in a 1-0 pitchers' duel Friday night during the Merrill Invitational at Athletic Park.
Odd team wins alumni baseball game
More than 20 players, representing four different decades of Rhinelander baseball returned to Stafford Field Saturday for the annual Hodag baseball alumni game. A back-and-forth contest was won by the team comprised of players mainly from odd-numbered graduating years, 6-5.

Something out of nothing
The Rebels were awarded a pair of forfeit wins in the Great Northern Legion Conference as Mosinee arrived at Stafford Field with only eight players. The teams decided to play two exhibition games, and Rhinelander won anyway, sweeping the twinbill 5-4 and 13-8.
