Hodag swimmers cap off another GNC title
The Rhinelander High School boys' swim team continued its reign over the rest of the Great Northern Conference Friday night. The Hodags capped off their third consecutive perfect conference season in dominating fashion, winning the GNC meet at Shawano High School.
Hodag hoops wins back-to-back to keep pace in GNC race
The Hodags won back-to-back conference games Thursday and Friday, running its winning streak to four games overall, with a 73-33 victory at Antigo and a 66-53 win at home over Northland Pines.

Northern Edge drops two more to large co-ops
The Northern Edge girls' hockey team suffered two more lopsided losses over the weekend, falling to top-ranked Fox Cities 11-1 Friday night at the Rhinelander Ice Arena and to Bay Area 9-1 Saturday in Ashwaubenon.

The celebration of Rhinelander senior Rebecca Lawrence's 1,000th career point was put on hold Thursday, for a few days at least. A pesky Crandon defense held Lawrence below her average with 17 points and snuffed out a late Rhinelander comeback bid as the Cardinals defeated the Hodags 47-39.
RHS wrestlers drop two in Tomahawk
The Rhinelander High School wrestling team closed out Great Northern Conference dual meet competition at 1-4 after falling to Medford and Antigo Thursday night in a four-team meet hosted by Tomahawk. The Hodags lost to the Raiders 51-27 in the first match before falling to Antigo, 54-22.
