Two late goals cost Hodag hockey East/Merrill tourney

Medford scored twice in the final 1 minute, 50 seconds of regulation - including Austin Waldhardt's winner on a breakaway with 28.7 seconds remaining - and the Raiders stunned the Hodags 5-4 Saturday in the championship game of the four-team tournament at the Smith Center in Merrill.

Hodag swimmers take third at Lightning Invite

Girls' hockey: Edge races past Raiders 8-1

Getting back on the winning track, the Northern Edge soundly defeated the Medford Raiders 8-1 Tuesday in Rhinelander. The Northern Edge used a variety of scoring, goal keeping and a power plays to get the win.

Hodag bowlers split home matches

Home lanes treated the Rhinelander area club bowling teams well this week. The problem was the lanes were equally friendly to the opposition as both the Hodag boys' and girls' squads spilt matches in a Wisconsin High School Bowling Club District 9 meet Sunday at Hodag Lanes.

Nevin Cornelius scored a game-high 20 points, including a go-ahead 3 as Antigo inched away in the second half to defeat the Hodags 53-47 at Sheldon Fieldhouse.

Wrestling: Hodags' Fox, Hartman win titles at Bluejay Challenge

Tim Fox and Walker Hartman won individual titles, the Hodags had four top three finishers overall and the team took seventh overall in the 19-team Bluejay Challenge at Merrill High School.
