Ostermann bounced back from a penalty point that ultimately cost him the sectional title at 182 pounds to place second in the bracket at the Eau Claire North sectional Saturday and advance to the WIAA Division 1 state tournament.

Gymnastics: Short-handed Hodags fall to Mosinee
The Hodags were one scorer shy of a full team on both floor exercise and vault and fell to Mosinee 107.3-91.9 at the Hodag Dome.

Sectional sensations
The Hodag boys' program added another set of accolades to the growing list off accomplishments Saturday as it waltzed its way to its fourth straight WIAA Division 2 sectional championship in Menomonie.
Hodags send five wrestlers to sectionals
The Hodags finished in the middle of the pack, placing fifth in an eight-team WIAA Division 1 regional at Marshfield High School. Five of the 12 wrestlers Rhinelander fielded for the postseason event advanced to the sectional round next weekend in Eau Claire.
