Jeffrey Allan Pokrandt

Jeffrey Allan Pokrandt, age 71, of Rhinelander, died on September 8, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 11, 1954, in Rhinelander, the son of James and Carol (Schallock) Pokrandt. He attended schools here, graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1973. Jeff then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country for four years before his honorable discharge. He then returned to Rhinelander where he was employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company for more than 44 years, before his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and camping.

On September 6, 1986, Jeff married the former Sarah Schueler. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past Sunday. 

Jeff is survived by his wife Sarah, his son David Pokrandt, his brothers Jon (Glenda) Pokrandt and Jay (Tammy) Pokrandt, nieces, nephews, other family and friends and his buddies, Emma his dog and Riglee his cat, He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Visitation for Jeff will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Northwoods National Cemetery.
