William “Bill” R. Zeromski , age 78, of Harshaw, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield surrounded by his family and friends. Bill was born in Milwaukee on October 16, 1947, to the late Robert and Bridget (Maslowski) Zeromski.
Bill, with his family, moved to Hancock Lake Resort in June of 1964. He played in a band called the “Mad Lads” in his last years of high school up North. Bill returned to Milwaukee and worked for Caterpillar for several years, but subsequently returned to the Northwoods, working in logging with his father, insurance sales, and car sales, eventually owning his own business, “Billy Z’s Auto & Truck Finder.” Later in his life, Bill reconnected with an old grade-school friend, Beverly Labiszak, whom he loved dearly. They remained together until her death in September of 2025.
Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, and drag racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, extended family, and his car club friends. His true passion was cars, specifically classic muscle cars. He was a member of the Summer Knights Car Club in Tomahawk. In his earlier days, Bill would be found racing at Rock Falls Race Way and Wisconsin International Raceway. In his later days, Bill enjoyed attending and showing his cars in local car shows, having received many trophies and awards.
Survivors include his children, Dana and Wayne (Joe) Blaubach, Loni Zeromski, and Donny Zeromski; his grandchildren, Austin, Julian, and Haley, and his great-grandson, Landon; and his brother, Brant Zeromski (Kim Dorion). He is further survived by his extended family, Angie (Paul) Karpfinger, Chuck (Jodi) Labiszak, and Adam, Elizabeth, Jacob, Emma and Joey. He was preceded in death by his loving partner, Beverly Labiszak; and his parents, Robert and Bridget.
Private family services will be held. The Summer Knights Car Club will be hosting a memorial gathering with a potluck dinner at a later date to be announced. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
