Ann Marie (Panko) Angell, 57, of Rhinelander, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was born August 14, 1969, in Rhinelander to Edward and Carole Panko, graduated from Rhinelander High School, and lived in Green Bay for over 20 years before returning home. For 20 years, Ann was a devoted full-time mother, working part-time so she could be present for her children — every game, every event, and every ordinary evening at home. She later worked as a caregiver with Nicolet Staffing and loved her work and her client deeply. Ann loved cooking for her family, gardening, reading, camping, and being outdoors, and was known for her strength, loyalty, and sense of humor. Above all, she was proud of her children.
She is survived by her children, Adam, Nicholas, and Amber Angell; her father, Edward Panko; sisters Julie Wilson, Michelle Panko, and Angie Paddock; brother Johnathon (Lindsey) Panko; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carole, and her nephew, Zachary Paddock.
A graveside memorial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery, Rhinelander (Please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.) A reception will follow at Holiday Acres Resort.
