Carol J. Dart

Carol J. Dart, age 85, of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026, at Howard Young Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on October 11, 1941, in the Town of Cassian, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Mae (Pecor) Bennett. On September 15, 1962, she married the love of her life, Dennis A. Dart, and together they built a life centered around family, love, and togetherness.

Carol dedicated many years of service to her community. She worked as a secretary at Cleary’s Milk Co. before becoming a correctional officer for Oneida County. She retired in 2001.

Above all, Carol will be remembered for her warm heart, generosity, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. Her door was always open to anyone who stopped by, day or night. Family, friends, and visitors knew they could count on Carol for a welcoming place to gather. Her kindness and hospitality created memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis; her parents; her siblings Bill, Kathy, and Lois; an infant brother; her grandson-in-law, Gustave Holzbauer; and other brothers- and sisters-in-law.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children, Mike (Cory) Dart, Patti (Bryan) Frankenberg, and Tommy Dart; her grandchildren, Jacob (Lexi) Dart, Jed Dart (Sophia Cook), McKenzie Holzbauer, and Madisen (Julio) Frankenberg; and her great-grandchildren, Remington and Leslie Frankenberg, and Lennox Dart. She is also survived by her siblings Jerry Bennett, Betty (Donny) Jung, Shirley Sowinski, Bob (Bev) Bennett, and Gary (Laura) Bennett, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

Carol’s love for her family, her welcoming spirit, and her open-door hospitality will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain with her family for generations to come.

Per Carol’s wishes the family is having a private Celebration of Life at a later date. You may leave your private condolences for the Dart family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Dart family.
