Louise M. Baumgartner, age 80, of Rhinelander, died on September 26, 2026 at the Tomahawk Health Service in Tomahawk. She was born on September 10, 1946 in Spooner, Wisconsin the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Wells) Bergeon. Louise was called home to heaven on Saturday, September 26 at the age of 80. She was born on September 10, 1946. Daughter of Ida Mae Bergeon (Wells) and Arthur Joseph Bergeon Jr. Louise joined the Navy in 1966 as a Yeoman Office Clerk. Was honorably discharged as E4 Petty Officer Third Class. While in the Navy she met her first husband. She left the service to raise her family. She worked as an accountant and then later on in life joined the Rhinelander Sheriff Department where she worked as a 911 dispatcher and then later a jailer. Louise enjoyed collecting many things. She also enjoyed her shopping trips, especially to Goodwill. Always found some kind of treasure to bring home. She loved to read, crochet and sew, making beautiful blankets for family and friends.
She is survived by her Daughter Dawn Pearson, sons William Cover ((Kristine) and Edward Cover (Sheila), Brother John Bergeon (Marge); sisters, Judy Hill, Pat Bradenburg (Jim) and Donna Braeger. Louise had 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Scott Bergeon and grandson Anthony Sackett, brother in-laws Stanley Hill and David Braeger.
The family would like to thank Compassus, Tomahawk Health Services, and Lakeland for all the wonderful care you provided.
Per Louise's wishes there will be no service. Burial will take place in the Northwoods National Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving Louise's family.
