Progress continues in Newbold plan commission’s review of town ordinance
The Newbold plan commission is in the midst of the painstaking process of reviewing, discussing and proposing revisions to town ordinance Chapter 13 subdivision and platting.
The process continued at the commission’s meeting May 7.
Chapter 19 was last updated in 2012, and the proposed changes are intended to remove outdated provisions, make wording more clear and bring the ordinance into agreement with state statutes and Oneida County ordinances.
Devoting more than an hour of the meeting to the task, the committee members made progress through three of the chapter’s sections: 13.03 Definitions, 13.04 Land Division Procedure (subsections 13.04.01 Preapplication, 13.04.02 Preliminary Plat, 13.04.03 Preliminary Plat Approval, 13.04.04 Final Plat Review, 13.04.05 Final Plat Approval and 13.04.06 Replat) and 13.5 Preliminary Plat — General Requirements (subsections 13.05.01 General Requirements, 13.05.02 Grading Plans and Profiles, 13.05.03 Testing, 13.05.04 Covenants and 13.05.05 Affidavit).
Once the review of all 17 sections of Chapter 13 is complete, the proposed changes will go to the Newbold town board for action.
