June (Shattuck) Rochester

June sadly passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the age of 80 years old at Marinuka Manor Nursing Home in Galesville.

She is survived by her brother Mike Shattuck of Pine Lake, her three children Jay Nelson (Monica) of Holmen, Russ Nelson (Micki) of St. Germain, and Julie Nelson of Eagle River, eight grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren and counting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and her husband Terry Rochester.

June was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and as a young lady her family moved to the Rhinelander area where she graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1964. June enjoyed fishing and snuggling with her cats. She was also very talented when it came to knitting and crocheting. She used this talent to make hats for the babies at Mayo Clinic and for making beautiful blankets and other items for her children and grandchildren. June was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by many. 

There will be a private burial in the month of June for family only.
