Gathered in Prayer

Sharing the front lawn of the Oneida County Courthouse with a stiff breeze and scattered snowflakes, Pastor Rod Ankrom (third from right) leads a local observance of the National Day of Prayer on May 7. The group prayed under this year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” lifting petitions for America, government leaders, the military and peace in the ongoing conflict with Iran, as well as for business, education, the arts, entertainment, media, families, marriages, churches and spiritual renewal across the country.
