With heavy hearts, we announce that our precious son, Jamel Angel Conjurske, gained his wings and flew home to Heaven on May 2, 2026, at the age of 18 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He was a special gift to our family, given on July 4, 2007 — born during the fireworks. He passed peacefully in a moment, without struggle.
God graciously granted us nearly 19 years with Jamel — years that far exceeded what we were told to expect at his birth. Though we were once told he would not live long, his life became a testimony that God had a purpose and work for him here on earth.
Jamel had the most infectious laugh, one that could light up any room and lift the spirit of anyone near him. His smile was like sunshine to the soul. In the last couple of years — especially this past year — he faced increasing challenges, including the inability to eat anything except breast milk. We are forever grateful to those who lovingly provided for him in this way.
We would like to publicly and deeply thank Timia Conjurske, who faithfully cared for Jamel over many years with extraordinary love and devotion. Her life poured out for him stands as a true testimony of what it means to be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:11).
We also would like to publicly thank Dr. Jerod Bergman and Dr. Wendy Henrichs for their untiring and faithful care of the little angel entrusted into our care.
Jamel was deeply loved and will be forever cherished by his Daddy and Mama, Timothy and Nicole (Whittaker) Conjurske; his eight siblings, Crystal Spring (22) and her husband Isaiah Wissell, Christina May (20), Jasper Psalm (16), Kayden Flint (12), Jett Peter (10), Henda Nicole (7), Malachi Keith (4), and Violet Grace (1); his nieces, Lexus and Skye; and his nephew, Theo. He is also survived by his grandmother, Sharon Conjurske, and his grandparents, Dale and Jackie Whittaker.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn Conjurske (2001).
Jamel is also lovingly remembered by his 22 aunts and uncles, 25 cousins, and his entire Golden Harvest Market family — both employees and customers — who were touched by his life.
While his presence will be deeply missed here on earth, we rejoice in knowing that all of Heaven is celebrating the arrival of a beautiful soul.
Psalm 116:15
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10 at 2 p.m., with the funeral service at 5 p.m., followed by a time of signing the casket and a luncheon.
Location: 2321 South River Road.
The burial of Jamel’s body — though we know he is no longer there — will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at Union Grove Cemetery, where his Grandpa Glenn is buried.
All are welcome to attend both the visitation/service and the burial.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, 54501, 715-365-4343. Everyone is invited to leave an online condolence at www.hildebrandrussfh.com.
