Boys’ tennis: Rhinelander 1-1, Wausau West Invite
The Rhinelander High School boys’ tennis team split its matches Saturday in the Wausau West Invite, defeating Wausau East 5-2 and losing to Menomonie 6-1.
Asher Rivord saved the Hodags from being swept against the Mustangs, with a 10-6 match tiebreak win at No. 1 singles. He won both of his matches Saturday and finished the weekend 4-1 overall.
Mark Currie won at No. 3 singles against Wausau East. Doubles winers were Danek Koniar/Henry Bonardelli, Brayden Barnhill/Kellen O’Malley and Braydon Lorman/Neo Martin.
Rhinelander (10-5, 3-0 Great Northern) will play Eau Claire North and D.C. Everest in a triangular Monday in Weston.
