YMCA, Hodag tennis to host pickleball tournament March 28-29

The YMCA of the Northwoods, in partnership with the Rhinelander High School boys’ and girls’ tennis teams, will host the Clash of the Paddles Indoor Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at the Hodag Dome.

The registration deadline is March 15, and participation is limited to eight teams per division. Players are encouraged to register early.

Divisions will be offered for men’s and women’s High Intermediate (3.8–4.2), and Advanced (4.2+) levels on Saturday at 8 a.m. and men’s and women’s Novice (3.0–3.4), Low Intermediate (3.4–3.8) on Saturday at noon. Mixed doubles divisions for all skill levels will be played on Sunday at 9 a.m. Exact start times will be determined after registration closes.

The fee is $40 per person, with an additional $20 per person to participate in mixed doubles. Teams are guaranteed five games, and USAPA rules will apply.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, which provides financial assistance for youth, adults, and families to participate in YMCA programs, as well as support the Rhinelander High School tennis program.
