Oneida County closes snowmobile trails

Oneida County’s snowmobile trail system, including its state-funded and club-funded trails, closed on Friday, March 6.

“At this time, the trails are temporarily closed and may reopen when/if weather and trail conditions improve,” a press release from the Oneida County forestry, land and recreation office said. “The Oneida County Snowmobile Ordinance prohibits snowmobiles from operating on the trails when closed.”

The press release advised snowmobilers “to follow the local snowmobile clubs on their social media accounts for updates.”
