Mayoral candidates to share views at forum March 12

This year’s mayoral race in Rhinelander will take center stage next Thursday, March 12, as incumbent Kris Hanus and challenger Tom Barnett meet at the Nicolet College Theatre in the 2026 Mayoral Candidate Forum.

Moderators Dan Hagen of WJFW-TV and Katie Thoresen of WXPR public radio, whose organizations have teamed with Nicolet College for the forum, will question the candidates. Audience members are also invited to ask questions.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event will start at 7.
