Icy conditions have contributed to another crash on U.S. Highway 8.

On Tuesday at 4:40 p.m., a Ford Escort was traveling westbound on Hwy. 8 through the town of Pelican when it slid across the median and hit the opposite ditch, rolling onto its roof.

Driver Matthew Podrez, 25, Crandon, was alone in the car and was able to climb out with no apparent injuries.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident, which took place about 300 feet west of Berquist Road.
