Downtown hosts ‘Second Saturday in June’ car show, art fair
Nice weather contributed greatly to a successful Rhinelander car show on June 13.
The show is traditionally held on the second Saturday in June in downtown Rhinelander in concert with an arts fair on the lawn of the Oneida County Courthouse.
It was the 28th year for the car show and the 39th year for the arts fair.
Rachel Boehlen, events director for the Rhinelander chamber of commerce, said the number of entries in the car show is capped at 200.
“We maxed out this year,” she said. “We had 200 different types of vehicles there.”
Boehlen said there was a “phenomenal turnout this year” for both the car show and the art fair.
“There’s no way to get a ‘for sure’ head count,” she said. “I would say a few thousand people, though.”
Boehlen was sure to thank the event’s volunteers and sponsors.
“Without them, this really couldn’t happen,” she said. “We really appreciate them.”
