Susie Marie Bohne, 67, of Rhinelander, passed away on May 29,2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 1,1959 in Rhinelander, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Arrand) Reinke.

Susie was born with a compassionate soul and found contentment in simply being present in each moment. She took great pride in knowing people trusted her for her honesty. She always saw the good in people and was quick to forgive. She believed in second chances (sometimes even three or four). When she smiled or laughed it was always from the heart and the world felt like a better place when she did.

She married her high school sweetheart after she graduated and they were blessed with two sons and almost 48 years of marriage. She chose to be a stay at home mom because she felt being there for her family was her most important job and her fulfilment in life. She quickly became the neighborhood mom where they all could come and grab a bite or just hang out. They all knew she was home if they ever needed help or just wanted company. when she did decide to work out of the house, it was something she could do with her children when they were small. She delivered bi weekly papers on a rural route. she would load up her civic and her boys and it became a "shoot the tubes adventure." After her boys had grown older she worked for her sister Pat, bussing tables at the Sportsman cafe. She then helped provide care for a local elderly woman.

Throughout her life she was a caregiver. Whether it was caring for her husband and children or lending an ear to a troubled family member or friend of her children. From moving her mother-in-law in to live with them while she battled dementia to helping her own mother stay in her own home until the age of 103. Susie lived by a very simple set of standards, family first, tell the truth, be kind and obey the law. She was never so busy that she wouldn’t stop to help and be kind to person or animal.

Her family was her life. She enjoyed being busy in her back yard and watching the wildlife, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, believing they were never to far behind to win. She simply just enjoyed life.

Susie is survived by her husband Dennis, her sons Eric (Jacquie) Bohne and Brandon Bohne. Her two granddaughters Adalyn and Alena Bohne, sisters Marian (William) Fourt and Debra (Randy) Slack, brothers-in-law Randall (Marybeth) Bohne, Robert (Rebeca) Petonquot and brother-in-law Douglas Mueller, along with her partner-in-crime niece Bobbie Bennett and many other nieces and nephews. She came from a large family and loved them all dearly. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Elise Bohne, her mother and father, brother David Reinke, sisters Patricia Wales, Shirley Mueller and Rebecca Petonquot, her brothers-in-law Jack Wales, William Fourt and many nephews and nieces. There will be no service per Susie’s request. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. A thank you to all family, friends and neighbors for their support and prayers during this difficult time.
