Shirley Anne Slesicki

Shirley Anne Slesicki, 92, of Rhinelander, was reunited in heaven with her husband Matthew on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Shirley was born on September 2, 1933, in Chicago, to Richard and Stella (Norvainis) Younger. She was raised in Chicago and spent her summers in the Rhinelander area. Shirley was united in marriage in Chicago, on November 6, 1954, to Matthew Slesicki. She was a registered nurse for 51 years. In the 1970’s Shirley and Matthew moved to Rhinelander.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Shirley will be remembered for the care she provided through the years as a dedicated registered nurse, enjoying every moment.

She had a love of animals, especially her dogs, Candy, Muggsy, Cisco, Cymbrie, Frosty and Kasey.

The visitation for Shirley will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at 125 E. King Street, from noon until the 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial. Father Chris Kemp will officiate.

Immediately following the mass there will be a procession to Northland Memorial Park for the committal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Shirley may be given to the Oneida County Humane Society, 1852 N. Stevens Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, 54501.
