Rick Swanson

A lifelong resident of Rhinelander, Rick Swanson, age 57 passed away at his home on July 18, 2026. He was born September 12, 1968 in Rhinelander, youngest son of Frederick and Helen (Swift) Swanson. He attended schools in Rhinelander and graduated from high school in 1987. His work life included jobs from being a Master Glass Bender in Antigo, a Master Control Operator & Newscast Technical Director, Janitorial Support and currently a Dispatch Scheduler/IT.

Rick married his Billie Jo (Bissonnette) Will on November 4, 2004. He was an avid reader, loved music and music history, enjoyed western history and maps of all varieties. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor with no filter.

He is survived by his wife Billie Jo; his children Matthew Will, Nicole Swanson and Christian Swanson and sister Susan Swanson. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred in 2002 and mother, Helen in 2019 and his brother Dennis in 2023.

A visitation for Rick will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carlson Funeral Home.
