Judith A. “Judy” Zagar, 80, of Lac du Flambeau, passed away on Saturday, June 27 at her residence with her family by her side. Judy was born on June 30, 1945 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Eugene and Marie (nee Volesky) Hug.
Judy graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and later married Frank Zagar on October 16, 1971. He survives. Judy was actively involved with the V.F.W. in Woodruff and the Rock of Ages Church in Minocqua. She loved scrapbooking, traveling, spending time with friends and family. She was a casino enthusiast and enjoyed her lake times and boat rides.
She is survived by her husband Frank and children Scott (Jessica) Zagar, Terri (Jay) Thomas and Tammy (John) Stonich and by her grandchildren Evan, Marley, Allisyn, Kensie, Hunter and Brooke.
Funeral services for Judy were held on Tuesday, June 30 at Rock of Ages Church in Minocqua, with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, July 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Harder Funeral Home in Brookfield, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Oneida County Humane Society (OCHS) in Rhinelander.
