Geraldine Ruth Jordan

Geraldine “Jerry” Jordan, of Rhinelander, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Friendly Village Nursing & Rehab at the age of 97.

She was born on August 28, 1928, in Rhinelander to Alvin and Carrie (Dart) Dalson.

She is survived by a son, Tom Jordan; daughter-in-law, Marsha Jordan of Harshaw; grandson, Tom Jordan Jr., and great-grandson, Cobi Jordan of Wausau; a sister, Alice and her three children, Paula, Dan and Karla of Waukesha; nephews, Brian and Scott Campbell of Cudahy; and nephews, Brent and Peter Dalson of Florida.

Jerry was married to Vince Jordan who preceded her in death in 2020. They were married in 1949 and lived just outside of Rhinelander on Townline Lake, a place they both loved.

Jerry was a well-known Wisconsin artist and won many awards at UW Madison in the 1960s. She was also a member of the Jack Pine Artist Group in Rhinelander. Along with her love of art, she also loved nature and enjoyed her walks, flower garden, and our trips to Eagle Harbor, Mich., which inspired her imagination for some of her later works.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was known to be a very kind, patient, and wise woman. Jerry will be remembered for being a great cook, and baker, especially her rhubarb pies.

She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
