David George Widule
David George Widule, born in Milwaukee, on October 17, 1940, passed away at his Sugar Camp home on January 17, 2026.
A graduate of Three Lakes High School, David spent his working years at the White Stag Inn, the family business. He rose through the ranks from dishwasher, busboy, bartender, and chef to manager. Upon his father’s death, David and his wife Karen purchased the supper club in 1988. He was pleased that all three of their children chose to follow him into the hospitality business, and that it is now operated by the third generation of Widules.
Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, pontooning, socializing with friends, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers filled his free time. A charter member of the Sugar Camp Lions Club, David served as the youngest-ever president. He was honored to receive the Melvin Jones Award.
During their 62 years of marriage, David and Karen traveled extensively internationally and in the U.S. They visited all the states except Alaska — unfulfilled on his bucket list.
Predeceasing David were daughter Anissa Marie, birth mother Lillian (Iverson) Widule, father Louis G. Widule, stepmother Dolores (Pump) Widule, and half-sister Suzanne (Frank) Petruzates.
Surviving are wife Karen (Rux) Widule, twin sons Bradley (Tracie) and Brian, grandchildren Sierra (Bridgett) and Mitchell (Katie), brother Louis E. (Patricia) Widule, half-brothers Michael (Kay), Patrick (Barb), and Kevin (Sheila), step grandchildren Mark (Nikki) Senter, Jessica Czaplinski, Seth (Jesse) Senter, and Tara (Brian) Senter.
As David wished, there will be a family celebration of his life at a later date. If you choose, please make a donation to your favorite charity in David’s memory.
