Light snow falls on Brown Street in downtown Rhinelander Friday, Jan. 16. Roughly three inches of snow in the area fell thanks to a slow-moving system that produced light snow Thursday night through Saturday morning, freshening snowmobile and ski trails for the weekend. An Arctic blast followed the snow with the high temperature struggling to reach zero by Monday. Below average temperatures are forecasted to persist into next week with highs in the single digits and lows below zero.
