Paul Kelly Letsch

Paul Kelly Letsch, 67, died on December 26, 2025. He was born in Racine, on August 8, 1958 to William R. and Irene F. (DePelecyn) Letsch. He was one of four children born to William and Irene; growing up with two sisters and one brother.

He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1976. He played varsity basketball, track and field, and baseball. Paul went on to study at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and graduated with a science of mining engineering degree on May 20, 1984. Hunting and fishing were his hobbies but his passion was baking and the culinary arts. Paul chose to follow his passion of baking and it became his career. His greatest culinary accomplishment came in 2000 when he set up and ran the restaurants and bakeries for the new Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.

Paul is preceded in death by his father, William R. Letsch; mother Irene F. Letsch, and brother William J. Letsch. He is survived by his two sisters; Debra (Paul) Rinka and Lori (Craig) Grinde. He also had three nieces; Alison Hinner, Sara Huhnstock, and Kathryn Rinka and one nephew, Adam Grinde.

Paul’s interests and talents were vast across his lifetime but in recent years he was happiest hunting, fishing, cooking, and hanging out with dogs Gage and Margo. His family and friends will remember him as intelligent, thoughtful, and kind, ready with a smile for all.

Private family services for Paul will be held at a later date. A memorial is being established in Paul’s name for the Oneida County Humane Society.
