Monthly Low-vision Peer Group to resume meetings Jan. 9
A peer group for blind and visually impaired adults in the Northwoods meets the second Friday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Balsam Room of the ADRC building in Rhinelander. The group discusses a range of topics related to living with low vision, including emotional adjustment, home accessibility, white cane use, guiding techniques, relationships, independence strategies, low‑vision hallucinations (also known as Charles Bonnet Syndrome), and connections to advocacy and support organizations.
An online Zoom option is available for those unable to attend in person. Meeting links may be requested by emailing Brent Goodman at [email protected].
The 2026 meeting dates, are Jan. 9, Feb. 13, March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9 and Nov. 13. The August meeting is planned as an outdoor picnic in Rhinelander. No meeting is scheduled in December.
