Cedric Vig Book Fund running out of time
The Rhinelander District Library Foundation (RDLF) is approaching the end-date of their annual book fundraiser. The non-profit aims to raise $20,000 by the end of February 2026. The fund, which provides 1/3 of the Rhinelander District Library’s new books every year, is celebrating its 40th year.
In 1985, Ced Vig’s vision was to purchase new, hardcover books each year for all sections of the library, including adult, young adult, and the children’s departments. RDLF continues Vig’s mission through this annual fundraiser.
Denise Chojnacki, children’s services manager for the library, said, “We are so grateful for the Holiday Book Fund that enables us to purchase quality, hardcover books we might not otherwise be able to afford. The monies keep our collection up-to-date as those are the most expensive books for purchase.”
To honor Ced Vig and his mission, please consider making a contribution today. Checks can be made out to RDLF Book Fund and sent to PO Box 1225 in Rhinelander. Cash contributions can be dropped off at the front desk of the library. The PayPal donation link can be found at www.rdlfoundation.org.
