Two Eagle River men face drug-related charges in Oneida County

Court dates have been set for a pair of Eagle River men arrested in Woodruff Feb. 6 on drug-related charges.

According to an Oneida County Sheriff’s Office supplemental report submitted with the criminal complaint, an after-midnight traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Edward Falcetta, 58, led to the arrests of passengers Scott Rich, 39, and Larry Veach III, 29.

An investigator on the scene knew that “earlier in the evening all three individuals had traveled to numerous drug houses in the greater Oneida County area,” the supplemental report states.

Rich was charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine, a Class I felony; felony bail jumping, a Class H felony; carrying a concealed knife, a Class A misdemeanor; and the misdemeanors of possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

If convicted on all counts, he faces a total of up to $31,500 in fines, or up to 10 years and 10 months in jail, or both.

Signature bond of $5,000 has been set. 

Rich has an open case against him since August in Oneida County, in which he was arrested in Sugar Camp and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Veach, the other passenger in the Woodruff arrest Feb. 6, was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. He faces a fine of up to $10,000, or up to three years and six months in prison, or both, if convicted. A signature bond of $5,000 was set.

Both Rich and Veach have been released. They are not allowed to contact each other or Falcetta, who was not arrested or charged.

Oneida County circuit court dates of March 10 for Rich and March 23 for Veach, both adjourned initial appearances, have been scheduled.
