Saving Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church formed from three congregations
Saving Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church has been formed through the merger of three congregations — St. Paul in Crandon, St. John in Pelican Lake (Enterprise) and Christ Lutheran in Hiles — according to a press release.
While the Saving Grace name is new, the release states that the combined ministry will continue the congregations’ shared mission of “sharing God’s Word” and “the good news of God’s promise of salvation for all who believe in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior.”
The Hiles church has been sold, and Saving Grace now holds worship services at the former St. Paul–Crandon and St. John–Enterprise campuses. Addresses and service times are listed below.
Pastor Marcus Schulz was installed as head pastor on Jan. 25. He previously served at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London for 17 years and at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran in Barre, Vt., from 1998 to 2008.
The release notes that Schulz and his wife, Lori, have been married for 30 years and have three children — Tristan, Taylor and Brendan. The family “has a great love for the Northwoods of Wisconsin,” and the pastor enjoys bow hunting, boating and cheering for the Packers.
The release extends an invitation to the public to attend worship services.
