Taste of Chocolate fundraising effort begins in downtown Rhinelander

Do you love chocolate? Now is the perfect time to get some delicious locally made chocolate and support local businesses!

According to a press release, Jan. 26 was the launch of the 2026 Downtown Rhinelander Inc. (DRI) Taste of Chocolate fundraising event sponsored by Nicolet National Bank and Da Bar. Visit participating downtown businesses to purchase a $5 chocolate bar and support DRI and local businesses.

“This is a large fundraiser for our downtown organization,” said Bob Lueder, DRI president. “Visit our local businesses, purchase chocolate bars for family and friends and support your local businesses.”

DRI partnered with the Fun Factory Sweet Shoppe to produce a variety of specialty chocolate bar flavors that will be sold in participating businesses for $5.

In addition to getting a delicious chocolate bar, you could be an instant winner! Each chocolate bar will have ticket that could be a winner of Downtown Bucks ranging from $5 to $20 or coupons from various businesses. Only 1,200 chocolate bars will be sold.

Plus, be on the lookout for a golden ticket! There are only 12 chocolate bars that have golden tickets and if you are a lucky enough to find one, you are entered into the grand prize drawing for $300 in Downtown Bucks. Customers can purchase as many chocolate bars from as many businesses as they would like in their quest to find a golden ticket.

Chocolate bars will remain on sale until Feb. 14, while supplies last. A list of participating businesses can be found on the Downtown Rhinelander Inc. Facebook page.
