Tom Maney, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, to be with his Lord and Savior.
Tom was born on September 15, 1936, in Three Lakes. He lived there until he went into the Army immediately after high school.
After serving his country, he attended Stout University where he went on to meet his wife, Antoinette Dewyer. He continued on at Stout University to receive his master’s degree in education. In 1972, he was awarded his Doctorate of Education from the University of Minnesota.
He worked at Nicolet College being part of the original staff when the college was formed. He eventually went on to become the Dean of Nicolet College, the position he continued in until his retirement.
Tom loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, trap and cut firewood.
He was the last surviving member of the original Maney family of Three Lakes. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Maney (Kimberly) of Three Lakes, John Maney (Bonnie) of Edina, Minn. and his daughter, Michelle Morrow of Three Lakes.
No funeral services are scheduled.
