Timothy “T. Jay” Gerhardt, 72 of Rhinelander, died on July 17, 2025, in Rhinelander. He passed into eternal paradise with Jesus while holding his wife's hand. It was beautiful and peaceful. He was born on April 16, 1953, in Madison, the son of Lee and Dorothy (Black) Gerhardt. He attended schools in the Madison area. After his schooling he worked with his family in their steel business. He then purchased his own truck and was employed as a trucker for a number of years. In the late 1990's he moved to Rhinelander and attended Nicolet College. Here he worked as a dispatcher for Sowinski farms and then as a non-emergency medical transporter.

T. Jay married Victoria Bellart on May 30, 2009. Together they enjoyed kayaking and camping. they also played extremely competitive games of Yahtzee and Monopoly. Victoria is almost positive T. Jay cheated at Yahtzee. They had so much fun together. He was so loved and will be missed.

T. Jay is survived by his wife Victoria, his stepdaughter Amanda (Tony) Bradt, his stepson Matthew (Sarah) Palubicki and his four grandchildren Ethan, Adalyn, Emma and Leah. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Linda and his beloved Dachsund Tankard “Tank” “B.S.E.”

Visitation for T. Jay will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, with memorial service following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
