Jill Marie Schrum

Jill Marie Schrum, 51, of Rhinelander, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2026, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

Jill was born in Rhinelander on April 30, 1974, to George H. and Linda J. (Payne) Hegewald. She was raised in Rhinelander attending Rhinelander public schools. She was a 1993 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She met her husband Tim Schrum in Rhinelander, and they were married in 1994 at the Rhinelander courthouse. Jill was employed at the Rhinelander potato chip factory and later at Trig’s. Jill enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom.

She was Catholic by faith.

Jill enjoyed fishing, sewing, going for a pontoon boat ride, and eating a good cheeseburger, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family including putting together puzzles with her daughter Mary.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Tim, daughter, Mary Ann Schrum (Dale Hammons), her dad, George H. Hegewald of Rhinelander, siblings, Judy Steffens of Appleton, Mike (Chrissy) Hegewald of Sugar Camp, and Jane (Ryan) Omaro of Pine Lake, nephew, Josh Steffens, and by one great-niece and one great-nephew, Elena Steffens and Tommy Steffens. Also surviving are other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mom, Linda Hegewald and a nephew, Kyle J. Holquist.
